And before the moons pale beams ...

It will be the night of Hallows Eve! Sorry guys, that was pretty corny. I know I'm a month early, but ... on October 31st, it will be Halloween! Now Let me enlighten you a little more about Halloween ... According to scholars, All Hallows' Eve initially incorporated traditions from pagan festivals and festivals honoring the dead. And that will be the limit of my factual insight before I bore you. But during the days before Halloween there will be costumes, haunted houses, ghosts, scary movies, pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and candy. You cant forget the candy! My favorite  is probably Snickers ... love them Snickers!  But recently, I have been seeing so many videos of people with amazing make up and costume ideas. I mean, these people can look like real monsters. Some people can even make a bloody wound out of latex and make it look like their skin was scratched by a werewolf. Its amazing and it makes me wanna try some of that for Halloween! But I don't think I could pull it of as a first-timer. These people are artists - the pros of Halloween costume and design. The way they manipulate the make up and latex to distort their face or body into something totally scary and gross! ... I LOVE IT. But to tell you the truth, some of them actually creep me out.
This one on the right is amazingly inventive. The red streaks really add to the whole demon-ish monster face. The yellow contact finishes the look very nicely. Just imagine how crazy it would look if she finished the other half of her face as well. I would die to see that! Then she would look like a real horror ... and I would not like to find something looking like that under my bed at night. I don't think anyone would.
I love how people can take simple make up and fake blood and then seeing them use it to make an amazing creature out of it. They make a normal looking face into something that you see in your worst nightmares. Make up artists bring the monsters to life, and I am mesmerized by it. But don't get me wrong, I would be absolutely terrified if anything from my nightmares came to life ... I think we all would. But I think that's what Halloween is all about. Just letting all the scary things come out for one night, and embracing it! It might sound crazy, but Halloween is fun! Plus the fattening candy makes it all the better!

Originally, these two pictures were separate. I just put the two together on Paint. I put them together because they look so similar; skeletons drawn onto a fleshy face. But you can tell - if you look closely - that the male skeleton has a lot more detail on the neck than the female. To me, it looks like tendons: tissue that usually connects muscle to bone. Aside from the detail on the male skeletons neck, I love the way the black next to the mouth shows the hollow cheeks of a skeleton. The same goes for the eye sockets. The small details on the make up makes it even more realistic. It's like their bone structure is protruding from their skin. Fun fact: some people can do this skeleton make up with just simple drug store eyeliner. Is your mind blown? Cause mine sure is. If I tried this with eyeliner, it would look like I just came back from working the coal mines. Aside from the coal mines, there are so many other make up artists that come up with the craziest effects. I would love to show them all to you, but we all know that I cant. But, check out this girl on YouTube! She's one of the best make up artists I've seen on the tube and her skills are amazing!
Maybe with time, I can look like one of those skeletons for Halloween. Or maybe even that demon girl on top! That would be an accomplishment. But I still really enjoy seeing all the creativeness for Halloween and the effort people put into their costume idea. No matter how much some of these get ups give me goose bumps, I will always be fascinated at how scary they are.
