We all know that coffee shop that's established all over the United States ... and that coffee shop goes by the name of Starbucks. How many people like this place? To be honest with you, for awhile now, I never really liked the joint. But not too long ago I went to Boston with my boyfriend and his family to just spend a day around Boston Common. Before actually getting to the part of the Common we all wanted to be, we made a stop at Starbucks. Before I tell you how I came to actually like Starbucks, let me tell you how I didn't like the place at first.
When I was younger, my parents took me to Starbucks because we had a gift card. Maybe I was too young, but I just didn't like the place. It was cramped and dark and the brownie I got wasn't all that good. But hey, maybe the brownies weren't that good on the day that I got it. Who knows. It was a weird place for me and I didn't like the atmosphere. Plus I thought the menu was pretty weird. But like I said, I was pretty young and a place like that isn't right for a young kid like I was.
Anyways, back to Boston Common. So we all crossed the street to get to Starbucks and when we walked in, it was packed. Full of people everywhere. There basically was no place to sit. Good thing we weren't staying there anyways. I was kind of apprehensive because I remembered that I didn't like Starbucks or anything about it. But I didn't want to say anything cause that would have been somewhat rude. But I plucked up and I got a  grande Chai Latte and a Raspberry Coffee Cake. It was actually pretty good! I loved that Chai Latte and the coffee cake. I'm a sucker for raspberries and coffee cakes. I didn't expect any of it to be good! What a surprise for me! Since then, I wanted to go back and try some other things. I also know that its a little more expensive than your regular coffee place, say like Dunkin Donuts. But I personally think that Starbucks is better than Dunkin Donuts. DD can be so plain and boring at times; donuts and coffee all the time. Starbucks hands down for me!
But unfortunately, I do not have a car and I do not plan on walking all the way to my nearest Starbucks. But I know when I get the chance again, I will definitely go back and order anything that looks appetizing to me. But on a side note, why don't you check out the Starbucks website? It gives you the menu, the coffees, and gift card opportunities! Just click here. I hope you give Starbucks a try because it certainly surprised me (:

- Good luck!

  1. I love Starbucks too! Although, I'm a fan of their coolata-like drink, I think Dunkin Donuts is better. It is just cheaper and easier to order. It also clearly more popular, because it is better. But, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

  2. Getting acquainted with unfamiliar territory is always a huge plus. It must have been a refreshing surprise to jump onto the Starbucks bandwagon. I personally love Starbucks too. If you're looking for new, great things to try I would definitely recommend checking out the Frappucinos and Shakes. I've never tried the Chai Latte, but I can definitely see myself trying it sometime!

  4. I agree with you 100%; Starbucks is way better than DD in my opinion also. When I first had my first Starbucks Latte(i forgot the name)it was just delicious and something unique. Starbucks kind of gave me something that many other coffee joints had not given me. Their drinks are smooth and seem to always hit the spot. I will also occasionally get a mocha from target and just gulp the whole thing. Great to see you enjoy it!
