Look What I Found - 8 -

Have you guys ever heard that humans only use 10% of their brain? Well, this guy ... I think he's able to use more than that measly 10%. Have you guys ever heard that if humans could access the rest of their brain, we could do unimaginable things? Like move objects from one place to another with just our minds? Well, this guy could do just that.
Some people in his videos think it's magic. But I say it's the human mind and science. But hey, there are some things in this world that we cannot understand. And believe me, I cannot come to understand how this guy does it. If I'm boring you with this seemingly long monologue, just go straight to the videos and watch and be amazed!
My boyfriend - Alex - introduced me to this guy. I'm sorry, I don't know his name so I'm just gonna keep calling him " this guy ". But me and my boyfriend were hanging out one day and he says to me "I need to show you this video. This guy is amazing. When I saw it, my mind was BLOWN." So I said yeah! He always has cool videos to show me and I always enjoy watching them. But when Alex showed me this ... my mind was literally BLOWN. I could not understand how this guy does the stuff that he does! It can even make fresh dough into a hot croissant with just his hands. He made a long piece of bread appear out of mid-air. Through the whole video I was literally saying out loud "How does he do this?!" ... "Oh my God." Alex was saying the same thing as me! and it was his second time watching it!
The magic man has a YouTube channel by the name of yifartofmagic. He is from Taiwan and I believe he does most of his videos in Taiwan. What I love most about his videos is that he goes up to random strangers in random places and does his "magic" tricks for them. And believe me you, all of his audience - whether is be one person or a group of people - go crazy when they see his tricks. If this guy ever came up to be and performed one of his tricks, I would literally freak out and I demand that he tell me how he does it. Watch both of the videos because it will be worth your time. But enough of my talking about how amazing he is, watch it for yourself and tell me how much your mind was blown.

MakeUp! - 7 -

For most girls when they wake up in the morning, they shower, eat breakfast, do their hair, and put on their makeup. That's what I do basically everyday before I go to school and before I go to work. Makeup is a big part of my life since I turned thirteen. That's when I started experimenting with makeup. I think every girl ends up wearing make up during anytime in their life and let's just say I can't live without it. I basically feel naked when I don't have any makeup on and it's been a bad habit to break. It covers my blemishes and makes my skin tone even and bright. But hey, I got hooked on it.
Sorry guys, this blog will be mostly for the girls, but if you want to continue reading then feel free to. But look at it this way guys, if you know more about makeup and you have a girlfriend, the more she'll love you! Makeup really transforms a girls face from plain to beautiful! But less is more, and believe me when I say that. You don't want to look like a clown. The more natural you can look with makeup on, the better. But I know we still look different once that natural makeup is washed off at the end of the day. My face looks pretty plain when I wash off my makeup. I love seeing all the different kinds of women put on makeup because some look really good and I want to ask how they do it, but others ... oh gosh, it's like they tried to be Barbie and failed. Along with all the different looks of makeup, there are so many different products: for the eyes, face, cheeks, and lips. I mean, where do you start and where do you finish?! It's pretty overwhelming. Like when I went into Sephora on black Friday! I didn't know where to look cause there was so many different things to look at! I left with a bronzer and then an hour later, I returned it! Bronzers are used to contour your face, or in simple words, just shadowing your face so it looks thinner and sharper.
But let me tell you where you can get quality makeup for cheap prices! And that place isn't Sephora. Sephora is so over-priced, its ridiculous. Elf cosmetics are so great! They are wicked cheap, too. If you create an account, they have a lot of short sales, too. They never go without having some sale to email me. Another amazing makeup place to shop at is NYX cosmetics! Their products are a few more dollars than what they sell at Elf, but trust me, I love this place! If I had the money, I would buy all my makeup from there. Other cheap and good quality makeup would be at your local drugstore! Walmart, Target, Walgreens. It's surprising, but I usually get my makeup from those places. Oh! and if you're shopping online, please don't forget to read the reviews because you want to know how well they work for other people. If a product doesn't have a good review, then I most likely won't buy it.
My makeup routine is pretty simple: moose foundation, concealer, powder foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and then blush. The reason why I use powder foundation is because the powder sets the moose foundation and concealer; less smudging and a less oily face. But sadly, my eyelids get oily, too and I can barely put on eye shadow because it creases. But if you have the same problem, a eye shadow primer is your best answer. Remember that less is more! Natural is the way to go! Nude is the perfect look for everyone! Please feel free to ask any questions you may want to ask!

Word about Pinterest - 6 -

Aside from all the websites that I go onto and have an account for, my top favorite is Pinterest . I know what you guys are thinking, "I've never heard of this place before." Well, let me tell you that you're missing out on the most amazing thing ever.
First, let me explain what Pinterest is: Pinterest is like an online bulletin board. Almost like Instagram, but better and actually useful. You can pin things from websites you go onto and it goes straight to one of your boards that you created on Pinterest. You can put a caption on it as well, maybe type down an explanation of what your pin is. But on the actual site there are categories for everyone. For example, there is Hair and Beauty, Tattoos, Home Decor, Weddings, and a lot more. You'll have to go onto Pinterest to see the other categories. Trust me, its worth checking out. But aside from creating an unlimited amount of boards to share with your followers, you can create three secret boards that you want to keep to yourself. And if you're ever ready, you can start sharing it with the Pinterest community.
Remember how I said Pinterest is actually useful unlike Instagram? Well it really really is. This is the website that I got all my hair care/treatments from, my make-up, my tattoo pictures, my house ideas - once I actually buy my own house. But it helps you with your daily life. There are exercise routines, recipes, DIY projects, and you can actually shop. The pictures are sometimes links that you can clink and it brings you to a cute clothing website that you never even knew about! That happens to me all the time. It has not only helped me, but millions of people who own a computer. For example, this new mother who just had her first baby was completely ready with all the things she needed because she followed people on Pinterest! Isn't that so useful? But hey, its not only a site for girls. There are categories for men too: sports, movies, geek, technology, outdoors, men's fashion. Its so versatile! If you don't believe me, go check it out! It will not be a waste of your time. With all that I typed here, there is waaaaaay more to find when you actually get onto Pinterest! You will be surprised!!!

- Good Luck!

Starbucks Coffee Company - 5 -

http://media.photobucket.com/image/recent/
FullServiceTour09/CharlotteBostonPhiladelphia2009F-25.jpg
We all know that coffee shop that's established all over the United States ... and that coffee shop goes by the name of Starbucks. How many people like this place? To be honest with you, for awhile now, I never really liked the joint. But not too long ago I went to Boston with my boyfriend and his family to just spend a day around Boston Common. Before actually getting to the part of the Common we all wanted to be, we made a stop at Starbucks. Before I tell you how I came to actually like Starbucks, let me tell you how I didn't like the place at first.
When I was younger, my parents took me to Starbucks because we had a gift card. Maybe I was too young, but I just didn't like the place. It was cramped and dark and the brownie I got wasn't all that good. But hey, maybe the brownies weren't that good on the day that I got it. Who knows. It was a weird place for me and I didn't like the atmosphere. Plus I thought the menu was pretty weird. But like I said, I was pretty young and a place like that isn't right for a young kid like I was.
Anyways, back to Boston Common. So we all crossed the street to get to Starbucks and when we walked in, it was packed. Full of people everywhere. There basically was no place to sit. Good thing we weren't staying there anyways. I was kind of apprehensive because I remembered that I didn't like Starbucks or anything about it. But I didn't want to say anything cause that would have been somewhat rude. But I plucked up and I got a  grande Chai Latte and a Raspberry Coffee Cake. It was actually pretty good! I loved that Chai Latte and the coffee cake. I'm a sucker for raspberries and coffee cakes. I didn't expect any of it to be good! What a surprise for me! Since then, I wanted to go back and try some other things. I also know that its a little more expensive than your regular coffee place, say like Dunkin Donuts. But I personally think that Starbucks is better than Dunkin Donuts. DD can be so plain and boring at times; donuts and coffee all the time. Starbucks hands down for me!
But unfortunately, I do not have a car and I do not plan on walking all the way to my nearest Starbucks. But I know when I get the chance again, I will definitely go back and order anything that looks appetizing to me. But on a side note, why don't you check out the Starbucks website? It gives you the menu, the coffees, and gift card opportunities! Just click here. I hope you give Starbucks a try because it certainly surprised me (:

- Good luck!

A Healthy Head of Hair!

This blog is for the girls! Ladies ladies ladies ... your hair says a lot about you and your hygiene! So why not keep your hair looking clean and healthy? Don't know how to start? Well, let me help you because I've recently become obsessed with hair care.
First let me tell you my storyt. Like I said in the above paragraph, I have become an expert on hair and hair care. This is because last winter I cut off ten inches of my hair. I donated the ten inches to Locks of Love. They make wigs for people who are sick and do not have any more hair. I felt since I had enough hair, I could do my part and help someone who wanted to look beautiful again. But in the past months, I have grown to miss my long hair fiercely and I have been trying whatever I can to grow my hair out the fastest I can. Thus my journey began ......
Its so sad when I see girls with long hair but its dead, dull, and dry. Sometimes the hair looks so dry that if I grasped it, it would all flake off! EEK! This could be because of over-excessive use of hair dyes, hair straighteners, curling irons, hair dryers, and alcohol based shampoos and conditioners. Hair dye destroys your hairs' nutrients and oils. Instead of feeding your hair crucial nutriments, you're providing hair drying toxins. Over use of hair dyes could lead to dryness and hair loss. So save your money and your hair, DO NOT USE HAIR DYES ALL THE TIME. Alcohol based hair products do the same damage as hair dyes.
Hair straighteners and curling irons are also a big NO. I have not touched one of these for the past 3 months and I know my hair thanks me for it. These hair tools burn your hair. Its a wonder how some girls' hair hasn't started a forest fire its so dry! The use of any heating wand or straightener drys up all your hairs moister and shine. If all your hairs' moister and oil is dried up, the result will be a dry scalp, very slow hair growth, and split ends. In plain language, your hair will look lifeless and barren. On a side note, split ends make your hair look unhealthy and dead. Split ends are a girls' worst enemy, so don't use anything that will split your hair! Simple as that. But if you cant go a day without curling or straightening your hair, then at least be considerate and use heat protectant!
http://www.colourcodesalon.com/-chem_damaged_hair.jpg
Even if you're not clasping your hair between two hot metal shafts like a curling iron or straightener, a hair dryer can cause the same results. Hair dryers and hair are mortal foes! The heat of a dryer splits the ends of the hair to a great extent. If there is constant use of hair dryers and continual exposure of split ends, your hair will proceed to split up the whole strand of hair. The longer the split is, the more hair you will have to cut off when you go to the salon, and the shorter your hair will be. Now, I don't think any girl would want that. But - if like straighteners and curling irons - you cannot go a day without using blow drying - though it is not highly recommended - set the dryer on the lowest heat and keep it 4 to 5 inches away from your hair.
Aside from all the damage you could unintentionally cause your hair, I want to give you some tips on how you can help keep your hair and scalp healthy, strong, and grow fast:

  1. Do not wash your hair every day! If you wash your hair every day, you are washing away all the oils your hair needs to hydrate itself. Your best bet would be to wash your hair every other day. Or even better, two days with unwashed hair! Starting from Friday morning to Sunday night, I do not wash my hair; an extended weekend almost. I know that some girls' hair are oilier than others, but if it is, then you will have to buy special shampoo and conditioner that will help control the excessive oil. If you hate the feeling of oily hair, oh well! You have to deal with it to have beautiful hair!
  2. Massage and stimulate your scalp. When its finally time to wash your hair, do not scrub it! Scrubbing your scalp does nothing for your hair follicles. When I wash my hair, I use the bottom portion of my palm to massage my scalp and wash away the shampoo and conditioner. By using this method of washing your hair, you thus open the follicles and they are able to breath. When you scrub your head, you aren't stimulating and opening your follicles. The results will be a faster grow growth cycle for your hair!
  3. Brush your hair! The next best thing you can do for your hair is to brush it. The recommended amount of brushing a day is twice. By brushing your hair, you evenly distribute the oils on the top of your scalp. It wont look so oily on the top of your head if you brush :P! Like massaging your head in the shower, brushing opens the hair follicles and lets your scalp breath. Breathing thus leads to faster hair growth. *A boar bristle brush is the best for this*
  4. Make hair masks! Instead of making face masks at slumber parties, why not make hair masks? Ingredients for hair masks can range from essential oils like castor oil, olive oil, and coconut oil to ordinary foods like avocado, egg whites, and honey. Most hair mask usage is only once a week. Using hair masks can restore vital nutrients to your hair and scalp leaving it healthy, soft, and shiny. Hair masks can also repair split ends. But the best remedy for split ends is just to trim them off. Hair masks are also known to help hair grow faster. I'm proud to say that I use hair masks!
  5. Limit your use of any hair tools that heat up. Let your hair air dry as often as you can! Other than that, this tip is self-explanatory :P
  6.  Try to buy organic shampoos and conditioners. Most likely organic products will have a greater amount of nutrients in the ingredients that your hair desperately needs. Commercial hair products have an unnatural amount of alcohol in it. Organix hair products are probably the best out there right now.
  7. Do not tie your up too tight! If you tie up your hair a lot of work or you just don't like your hair in your face, don't tie your hair band too tight. Your scalp and hair will not be able to breath because of the inflexibility you put upon your head. Loose it up a little so your hair has more room to move around and breath.
  8. Biotin Deficient? Biotin is a colorless crystalline vitamin of the vitamin B complex, essential for the activity of many enzyme systems. Biotin is a necessity for hair growth. Many people are Biotin deficient and they don't know it. This vitamin will help your hair grow faster, stronger, and thicker. Its also great for nails and skin! (:
Your hair is a part of you, so why not take care of it the way you do your body? Keeping it healthy will lead to faster hair growth and a stronger head of hair. Help yourself help your hair! Also, you might have heard a myth that cutting your ends will help your hair grow faster. FALSE! The only thing you are doing is cutting off the hair that you were growing for the past 6 to 8 weeks. It would be good to go a few months without getting a trim. But remember to keep split ends to a minimum! A VERY low minimum. Now ladies, haven't we all dreamed of having Disney Princess hair? I sure as hell have!

P.S. Feel free to ask any questions about hair in the comments! I will be pleased to answer them! * I have left out some of my hair tricks and tips out of this blog *

And before the moons pale beams ...

http://www.damnlol.com/epic-halloween-makeup-8529.html
It will be the night of Hallows Eve! Sorry guys, that was pretty corny. I know I'm a month early, but ... on October 31st, it will be Halloween! Now Let me enlighten you a little more about Halloween ... According to scholars, All Hallows' Eve initially incorporated traditions from pagan festivals and festivals honoring the dead. And that will be the limit of my factual insight before I bore you. But during the days before Halloween there will be costumes, haunted houses, ghosts, scary movies, pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and candy. You cant forget the candy! My favorite  is probably Snickers ... love them Snickers!  But recently, I have been seeing so many videos of people with amazing make up and costume ideas. I mean, these people can look like real monsters. Some people can even make a bloody wound out of latex and make it look like their skin was scratched by a werewolf. Its amazing and it makes me wanna try some of that for Halloween! But I don't think I could pull it of as a first-timer. These people are artists - the pros of Halloween costume and design. The way they manipulate the make up and latex to distort their face or body into something totally scary and gross! ... I LOVE IT. But to tell you the truth, some of them actually creep me out.
This one on the right is amazingly inventive. The red streaks really add to the whole demon-ish monster face. The yellow contact finishes the look very nicely. Just imagine how crazy it would look if she finished the other half of her face as well. I would die to see that! Then she would look like a real horror ... and I would not like to find something looking like that under my bed at night. I don't think anyone would.
I love how people can take simple make up and fake blood and then seeing them use it to make an amazing creature out of it. They make a normal looking face into something that you see in your worst nightmares. Make up artists bring the monsters to life, and I am mesmerized by it. But don't get me wrong, I would be absolutely terrified if anything from my nightmares came to life ... I think we all would. But I think that's what Halloween is all about. Just letting all the scary things come out for one night, and embracing it! It might sound crazy, but Halloween is fun! Plus the fattening candy makes it all the better!
http://pinterest.com/pin/171840542002851391/
Originally, these two pictures were separate. I just put the two together on Paint. I put them together because they look so similar; skeletons drawn onto a fleshy face. But you can tell - if you look closely - that the male skeleton has a lot more detail on the neck than the female. To me, it looks like tendons: tissue that usually connects muscle to bone. Aside from the detail on the male skeletons neck, I love the way the black next to the mouth shows the hollow cheeks of a skeleton. The same goes for the eye sockets. The small details on the make up makes it even more realistic. It's like their bone structure is protruding from their skin. Fun fact: some people can do this skeleton make up with just simple drug store eyeliner. Is your mind blown? Cause mine sure is. If I tried this with eyeliner, it would look like I just came back from working the coal mines. Aside from the coal mines, there are so many other make up artists that come up with the craziest effects. I would love to show them all to you, but we all know that I cant. But, check out this girl on YouTube! She's one of the best make up artists I've seen on the tube and her skills are amazing!
Maybe with time, I can look like one of those skeletons for Halloween. Or maybe even that demon girl on top! That would be an accomplishment. But I still really enjoy seeing all the creativeness for Halloween and the effort people put into their costume idea. No matter how much some of these get ups give me goose bumps, I will always be fascinated at how scary they are.

Your temple and The Walls

Your body is a temple, so why not decorate the walls?

Since this summer before I went back to school, I have been obsessed with tattoos. The way they look, the placement, the actual art of a beautiful tattoo. But some others I've seen, I think, "Why would you ever get something like that?!" Like this unicorn on the right. But everyone has their own tastes, interests, and meanings of why they get certain tattoos. For some others I have seen, I fell in love with instantly and I'm still in love with them right now. I plan to get A LOT of tattoos. Like one on each thigh, some on my back, and others on my arms. I would put all the tattoos I want to get on my blog, but that would be too much and to explain each and everyone would be the death of me :P
I see pictures of people with so many tattoos, and I envy them! Just looking at all the tattoos I want, I get so impatient and I just want to get tatted right now. But patience is the greatest virtue. So while I wait, I can search for the best artist who I think can replicate the picture onto my skin perfectly. Waiting also means that I can save up more and more money to pay for each of them. I even got an empty protein powder bucket and started putting seven dollars in it each week. I am determined to get all the tattoos that represent me and that also express myself.
Tattoos, for me, is a way to say something without using real words. To put a meaningful message on your skin for life. Putting something on your skin permanently is like telling a secret in a piece of art; sharing your most intimate thoughts. But that's only if someone can understand and unravel what your tattoo really means. One of my tattoos - the one that will be on my right thigh - is a little inappropriate, so I wont be showing it on my blog. But its by a modern artist by the name of Audrey Kawasaki. The other tattoo that will be inked is of a skull, bird, and flowers around it. This will be on my left thigh. My other tattoos will be of Eve in the Garden of Eden with the snake, and an owl.
The tattoo with Eve in the Garden of Eden represents, to me, a sense of purity. That was the beginning of Man and Woman. When they were knowledgeable about God and His love; a heaven on earth with everything you could ask for. But with life, comes temptation, and we all have temptations and desires. It shows me that the first man and woman on earth were flawed. The bird and skull symbolize life and death. It's kind of like matter: all matter in the universe cannot be created or destroyed. It's recycled. The skull is death, but with that death comes new life. The flowers are growing, and that energy comes from death. It is renewed into life again! To continue, when I think of an owl, I think of a wise ......... almost old man! The wisest of all birds. Just the fact that they are nocturnal adds to their "majesty." They can see they're prey through the darkness of the trees in the dead of winter. Also, have you ever seen an owl fly? Because I sure never have. But why? Will I ever see one fly? Will I even be able to tell if its an owl or not? Its almost like I have see owls in stories; like myths.
All I know is that my interests and meanings of each of my tattoo will change and some I might not end up getting in the end. But I will be getting the tattoos that represent me the best. I'll keep searching for the perfect artist and I'll keep wanting to decorate the walls of my temple.
